UH is pleased to offer the Retiree Medical Access Program, which provides retiree medical assistance to both our pre-65 and post-65 retiring employees and their family members. In 2012, Pre-65 medical plan access will be administered through Apex Benefits Services. In 2012, Post-65 medical plan access will be provided through the RetireMed program offered by MB Senior Solutions. |

Beginning January 1, 2012, Apex Benefits Services will be the administrator for the Retiree Access Medical Plan Pre-65 coverage. |

If you are actively enrolled in a UH medical plan at the time of retirement, the program covers:
- You, if you:
- Are regular status employee working 16 hours/week or more
- Are age 55 to 64
- Have three or more years of UH service
- Your spouse/same-sex domestic partner
If a UH employee dies while employed, the program covers your spouse/same-sex domestic partner if under 65 and covered in the UH active medical plan – and eligible dependent children covered in the UH active medical plan up to age 26. |

- You and any family member who is Medicare eligible

- Easy transition from active plan to retiree plan
- Valuable coverage at competitive price
- National provider network
- Flexibility to use Health Savings Account (HSA) funds to pay retiree medical expenses, including deductibles, copayments and coinsurance
